ברוכים הבאים ליהוה | יהוה.
At YA’OH, we delve into the profound truths about the Almighty Creator, ABBA YAH | YHWH | YA’OH ALA’AYM, and His Beloved Son, Ya’ohshai, along with Ya’ohsharal, His chosen people.
The Tetragrammaton “YHWH” signifies the declaration, “I The YAH, Am I The YAH.”
Join us in exploring these significant topics. We also incorporate the “Hidden Bible Books” found within the original “Authorized, King James Bible” from 1611, including “The Complete Ethiopian Bible in English.”
The Ethiopian Bible, composed in ancient Ge’ez, stands as one of the most extensive and venerable biblical compilations. It encompasses additional sacred writings that are omitted by other traditions.
Its lineage can be traced back to the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures completed between the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C.
While it preserves the majority of the Septuagint’s books, the Ethiopian collection also embraces several pseudepigraphal works, including 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, and the Book of Jubilees.
Perhaps most distinctive are the three MEQABYAN volumes, exclusive to the Ethiopian Orthodox tradition and translated here with linguistic fidelity and the nuances of the original text. The canon also includes Deuterocanical texts recognized by Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, and Russian Orthodox churches, such as Tobit and Judith, as well as others like 1 Esdras and 3 Maccabees, which are upheld solely by certain Eastern churches.
In contrast, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church’s canon surpasses the 66-book Protestant lineup by drawing from Deuterocanical, Apocryphal, and Pseudepigraphical sources to create a comprehensive theological framework.
Footnote:
1. The Septuagint Version was compiled prior to the arrival of Our Savior, Ya’ohshai came, to Yaroshalaym, the Promised Land of our forefathers.
2. The Septuagint, a Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, was authored by approximately 70 Hebrew scholars with extensive proficiency in both languages.
3. The CEPHER Publishing Group translation includes four Books of Makkabiym (Maccabees) with accounts totally different from the Ethiopian Bible.
- Ri’shon Makkabiym
- Sheniy Makkabiym
- Sheliyshiyiy Makkabiym
- Reviy’iy Makkabiym
We are pleased to observe the inclusion of the other Hidden Books of the Bible. This surpasses the King James Version of 1611 (78 books) in comparison to the Ethiopian Bible’s 88 books.
However, it is imperative to maintain the integrity of true names. All original names and titles have been modified to modern English, rendering them devoid of their original significance and susceptible to idolatry.
The English names and titles presented here do not accurately represent our ancestors. Furthermore, they fail to honor our Creator, ABBA YAH, or his beloved Son, Ya’ohshai by excluding their Hebrew names. Hebrew is our original Language that was given at the time Adam was created!
We will continue to acknowledge and incorporate the Ethiopian Bible, particularly the books not found in other translations. We will endeavor to restore all Hebrew names from the original Ghabaraym Hebrew language. Additionally, we will compare the CEPHER Publishing Group’s Bible with a version titled “The Complete Ethiopian Bible in English Large Print Edition,” which was published on May 29th, 2025.
On June 7, 2025, we acquired a physical copy of “Original Version Ethiopian Bible in English” by Edward Jones, published on April 27, 2025. This copy encompasses the 66 Books of the Bible and the “Hidden Books,” resulting in a total of 88 books. We can subsequently compare the two versions.
